Jason Connery’s love of film and passion for directing came at an early age sitting on the sets of his father, Sir Sean Connery, and mother, Diane Cilento, watching such luminaries as Alfred Hitchcock, Gina Lollobrigida, Sydney Lumet, Joanne Woodward, Bridget Bardot, and the like working their craft.

Connery trained at The Bristol Old Vic Drama School, and after, Perth Repertory Company in Scotland, both as an actor and director. He rose to acclaim as an actor in his breakthrough role in the long celebrated hit series Robin of Sherwood playing Robin Hood.

In the sixty plus television and movies he’s acted in since, he has worked alongside some of the industry’s greatest award winning actors, including Sir Michael Caine, Kristin Scott Thomas, Helena Bonham Carter, Owen Wilson and Christopher Walken. But his passion was always to get behind the camera.

Earning his directing chops in theatre, he then moved on to film and directed everyone from Academy Award winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr, to an heir to the throne, Prince Edward Wessex.

As a director, Connery shares a special bond with his actors because he brings over 30 years of acting himself, and can speak their language.  That has proved helpful in garnering such high caliber actors such as Ron Perlman and Ray Winstone to trust him behind the camera.

He has had a string of financially successful films, with his latest film Philly Kid, starring Wes Chatham (The Help), being picked up by Warner Bros., with an April 15th,  2012 release.

Directing Of Corset’s Mine will be Connery’s 5th time at the helm.
